The Comp Coil Assembly is a compression spring recoil reducing unit. The Comp Coil reduces the recoil felt of a firearm, just as a coil spring on a vehicle axel. The base and back plates are primarily the same as on the Counter Coil. Aluminum and steel construction with some components that are yellow dichromate zinc plated. The compression travel is approximately 5/16". For large bore guns, no compression cylinder support is needed. In most cases, the Comp Coil can be mounted on semi-auto firearms. The Counter Coil installation fixture and drills will work for the Comp Coil also. The Recoil Pad Adjuster Kit provides butt plate positional adjustments.The amount of adjustments are taken when the adjustment plate is in the center position are: 5/8" up, 3/4" down, 1/4" side right and left, and diagonal adjustments 1" heal and 1-3/8" toe.
