15] How can I make difficult digging easier?

Down force Kits are available to make difficult digging easier.  The kits attach to all Danuser boom-type diggers without alteration and with the use of ordinary hand tools.  They provide approximately five hundred pounds (500 lbs.) of additional down force to the auger point for easier penetration of hard or frozen ground.

Kits do not interfere with normal digging operations.

Kits operate with a one-way hydraulic cylinder.  One line is connected to a tractor remote outlet and a second non-pressure line is connected to the hydraulic system sump directly, not through a remote outlet.

16] What are Danuser Auger Adapter Guards?

Danuser Auger Adapter Guards are standard equipment with all Danuser Diggers.  They provide protection from bolt entanglement accidents.  DO NOT operate your auger without them! To prevent injury keep an area of at least twenty-five feet (25') around the auger clear of bystanders and all other people. 17] Can I adapt my plain or serrated edge auger for more aggressive digging for tougher
       ground conditions?

Yes.  A Field Weld-on Kit is available to transform plain or serrated edge augers to Hole Digger Head Augers.  A Hole Digger Head Auger will then be more aggressive as it rips through clay, caliche, shale, mixed limestone, frozen ground, and light rock.  Hard-Surface Teeth are recommended for increased productivity and longevity. 18] Why do I need a conversion kit for my PTO digger?

The F-series digger started in 1943.  Since then we are on our 3rd PTO supplier.  There are no PTO repair parts for the older diggers (prior to serial number 71,200).  Danuser sells the conversion kits at a NET PRICE (our cost) to convert any older diggers with cast steel gearboxes over to the current production standards so you can obtain repair parts.  The kit will also include all the current safety guarding.

19] What conversion kit do I need if my serial number plate is missing or unreadable for        my PTO digger with a cast steel gearbox?

The conversion kit you need applies to the style of PTO you are using today.

If you have an unguarded PTO shaft, yellow metal or black metal PTO guard, and your PTO is connected to the pinion with a castle nut, you will need Conversion Kit Part ID:  7577 (for 2-3/8” diameter center column augers) or Part ID:  7580 (for 3-5/8” diameter center column augers).

If you have an E-clip style PTO where the PTO connects to the pinion with an E-clip (horseshoe looking clip), you will need Conversion Kit Part ID:  7578 (for 2-3/8” diameter center column augers) or Part ID:  7581 (for 3-5/8” diameter center column augers).

20] What conversion kit is needed if my F-Series PTO digger with a cast steel gearbox        serial number is prior to 60,000?

Current production Danuser F-Series PTO Diggers include Part ID:  7562 pinion assembly.  They have a black plastic Pinion Guard and black plastic guards on the driveline, and the driveline will be connected to the input pinion using a roll pin.

If your digger does not correspond with the above description, you need to purchase a Part ID:  7577 conversion kit.  The Part ID:  7577 conversion kit includes a pinion gear with hardware, pinion guard, gaskets, grease seals, complete guarded driveline all the way to the tractor, and the Part ID:  7270 auger adapter guard for 2-3/8" diameter center column augers.  This Part ID:  7577 kit is required on all diggers with serial numbers prior to 60,000.
